This three-day MEMI course taught by Brian Simmons, MA, LPC, CH, CCTP-I, CCTP-F, CCPT-T/A, CSTCS-ST of HC Solutions Training & Consulting in partnership with Trauma Counseling & Training of Tucson, is especially designed for First Responders who have taken the Stress and Trauma Care Specialist Certification Course offered at Southern Oklahoma Technology Center in Marietta, on January 26th and 27th, 2026.

However, the Live MEMI Certification training is also ideal for therapists, counsellors, and clinical psychologists, and will focus on how to apply MEMI to your work in your clinical practice, covering the following:

1. Introduction to MEMI and the course;
2. MEMI’s Theoretical model and expanded 10-step protocol;
3. Step-by-step procedures to deliver MEMI in a clinical or non-clinical setting; 
4. Scripts and tips for therapists to leverage during sessions; 
5. Introduction to the theory behind eye movements; 
6. Eye movement sets, and scope; 
7. Strategies for interrupting client abreactions during sessions;
8. Strategies for treating phobias, substance abuse and personal failures;
9. Assessment techniques (Intensity Scale, SUD Scale and PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) and related rubrics;
10. Worksheet for recording session results; 

Who this training is for

MEMI Trauma Training is for you if:

• You are a first responder and have enrolled in our Stress and Trauma Care Specialist Certification Training, scheduled on January 26th and 27th, in Marietta, OK
• You are a therapist, counselor, psychologist, NLP practitioner, hypnotist, coach or first responder peer support specialist who works with individuals struggling with trauma, PTSD or related mental health issues.
