Alessandro Di Domenico

Over the course of his career, Alessandro has pursued advanced training in the most effective neuroscience-informed approaches to trauma and complex psychopathology. He holds an EMDR Practitioner certification recognised by EMDR Europe, an International Advanced Certification in Flash Technique with Dr. Philip Manfield, training in Interpersonal Metacognitive Therapy, and certification in Compassion Focused Therapy. He further holds an Advanced NeurOptimal® Neurotrainer certification from the Zengar Institute, the European Certificate in Psychology (EFPA, 2023), and a Master’s degree in Behavioral Neurosciences with a focus on photobiomodulation and transcranial magnetic stimulation. He is also trained in quantified neurofeedback (qEEG) and biofeedback.

In 2026, Alessandro became one of the first and only certified MEMI Trainers in Italy, authorised by Dr. Mike Deninger to deliver MEMI Level I training to Italian-speaking clinicians. He is the co-author of two clinical books alongside Massimo Amabili: La Flash Technique (Giovanni Fioriti Editore, 2024) and Il Dynamical Neurofeedback® NeurOptimal® integrato alla psicoterapia (YoucanPrint, 2025), both addressing the integration of advanced neuroscience tools within psychotherapeutic practice.

Alessandro’s clinical experience spans public and private settings: he has worked at the Community Mental Health Centre in Italy, provided psychological counselling in secondary schools for over six years with a specific focus on adolescent distress in the post-pandemic period, and contributed to the psychosocial rehabilitation of at-risk youth. His core conviction is that lasting therapeutic change requires working at the level of the nervous system — and that MEMI offers one of the most elegant and powerful tools available to do exactly that.
