Offered by Dr. Maria Haugen, a clinical psychologist with extensive experience providing therapy to military vets at Department of Defense residential PTSD treatment centers, this two-day in-person course will focus on how to apply MEMI to your work in your clinical practice.
Opened to psychologists and other mental health practitioners, this training will cover the following:
- Introduction to MEMI and the course;
- MEMI’s Theoretical model and expanded 10-step protocol;
- Step-by-step procedures to deliver MEMI in a clinical or non-clinical setting;
- Scripts and tips for therapists to leverage during sessions;
- Introduction to the theory behind eye movements;
- Eye movement sets, and scope;
- Strategies for interrupting client abreactions during sessions;
- Strategies for treating phobias, substance abuse and personal failures;
- Assessment techniques (Intensity Scale, SUD Scale and PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) and related rubrics;
- Worksheet for recording session results;

MEMI Trauma Training is for you if:
- You are a therapist, counselor, psychologist, NLP practitioner, hypnotist, coach or first responder peer support specialist who works with individuals struggling with trauma, PTSD or related mental health issues.
